Custom work

When the way a business runs is its competitive advantage, forcing it into a closed product destroys it.

Some businesses do not fit a mould. When the way they operate is the competitive advantage, forcing it into a closed product destroys it.

Custom development at Entropy does not start from scratch: it builds on a foundation already proven — store, orders, stock, suppliers, drivers, invoicing, accounting — and the time goes into what is particular to the business. The standard part is already solved.

Types of project

Management system on an existing base

Turnkey, on the Suite PYMES foundation, adapted to how the business actually runs, with its brand, its products and its rules. Includes initial data loading and training. The system stays with the client.

Process automation and AI-assisted support

WhatsApp unified in a single inbox, automatic replies built on the real catalogue — current prices and stock, inventing nothing — and connections between the systems already in use, so they stop requiring someone to copy data between them.

Process audit, QA and documentation

Before buying software it helps to know what is being bought. The whole circuit is reviewed, what is undocumented gets written, inherited workarounds behind half the current problems are identified, and a prioritised diagnosis is delivered. With or without development afterwards.

How the work happens

The order matters: it is a sequence, not a menu of services.

  1. 01

First, how the work happens today

Before a line of code, discovery: who does what, with which piece of paper, at what moment and why.

Most software requests are symptoms, not diagnoses. Building on the symptom automates the problem and makes it faster.

  2. 02

What is not written down gets written

The whole circuit is documented before it is touched. Not as a formality: it is the only way the client can see it whole, correct course in time and — later — hand the system to someone else without depending on the supplier.

  3. 03

    Building on a proven base

Suite PYMES is a solid skeleton — store, orders, stock, suppliers, drivers, invoicing, accounting — tailored to each operation.

The standard part is already solved; the time goes into what is particular to the business.

  4. 04

Nothing is marked “working” without evidence

This rule comes from auditing under ISO 9001:2015, and it is applied to our own work.

In the system’s last audit, 92 acceptance criteria were defined, all declared unverified, and only those passing a test executed against the database were approved.

What was not tested is delivered as unverified, never as approved. The tests ship with the work and can be re-run every time something changes.

Working with agencies

Entropy takes development subcontracted by agencies, on two conditions that serve both sides: scope is documented before work starts, and delivery includes the tests that back it.

Contact can run through the agency’s team or directly with the end client, whichever suits. Either way the agency keeps the commercial relationship.

The deliverable documentation is written so the agency can maintain the system without depending on Entropy.

The hard question first: did the business make money last month, or does it look like it did?

If the answer is uncomfortable, there is a fifteen-minute conversation worth having. The system is shown running on a demonstration business, and the way the work happens today gets mapped.
